Do you have most common applications on each PC? Are they all the latest version? If not, then it is time to create a standard image and deploy the image on all PCs.

Having standard PC configuration will reduce the time to troubleshoot and repair any problem. You could easily update or make changes to configuration. Users will have the same version of software including Internet Explorer, Acrobat Reader, Microsoft Office, and other applications.

IT should be part of your strategy to upgrade desktop as quickly as possible.
